Nurses of '57 return to reminisce

A group of older women looking at old nursing records

Nurses who trained at Fremantle Hospital in 1957 returned to the hospital recently to mark 60 years since their graduation.

The group, most of whom are close to 80 years old, still meet regularly and held a special 60th anniversary catch-up.

The women were taken on a tour of the Fremantle Hospital museum with curator and former Director of Nursing, Ruth Letts.

They most enjoyed poring over the old nurse training records to find their own names and those of their friends and fellow trainees.
