We provide provides services to inpatients and non-admitted patients via booked appointments and inpatient referral. Radiology services provided include:
- general X-ray
- ultrasound, including– general, MSK, vascular and breast
- CT scans

Routine bookings are made on receipt of a completed and signed request form. Requests should be faxed to 9431 2663 and the original given to the patient. Incomplete or illegible forms will be returned to the requesting doctor for amendment. The requesting doctor must include their full name, pager or mobile number, provider number and consultant. The form must be signed.
X-ray request forms are available from the secretary on 9431 2301. Any x-ray request forms received in the office after 5pm will be processed the following weekday morning. The pregnancy status of female patients between the ages of 12 and 50 should be checked, especially if irradiating the pelvic/abdominal area, and requesting doctors are responsible for advising the department of any hazards for the patient.
When a GP requests radiology services at FHHS, a disc containing the images and report are given to the patient. A report is also faxed to the referring practitioner. If a GP needs access to hardcopy films for continued care, a request must be made in writing, stating the reason the films need to be printed. The patient is to collect them with identification.
