More than 200 people turned out for the behind-the-scenes tours and expo at the recent Fremantle Hospital Open Day.

Tours of the museum and operating theatres ran throughout the morning, with each timeslot full of people eager to hear from our staff and volunteers.

B5 walkway was abuzz with interactive displays covering a range of topics from rehabilitation and aged care, to mental health, hand hygiene and patient journey.

The South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) Board and Fiona Stnley Fremantle Hospitals Group (FSFHG) Executive greeted members of the community and were on-hand to answer questions about Fremantle Hospital and SMHS.

Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, including:

  • “Good range of services and activities presented, enthusiastic and positive staff.”
  • “Very interactive and informative.”
  • “Theatre tour was amazing.”
  • “Loved the museum tour!”

Thank you to all of the staff who pulled together to make the day such a success.
