Our hospitals offer a number of amenities and facilities for our patients and visitors to help make your stay or visit more comfortable.

Food and beverage

Fremantle Hospital

The Ladies’ Auxiliary Kiosk is located on Level 5, B Block (opposite the lifts). The kiosk sells a variety of cold and hot meals and snacks, hot and cold drinks and a range of pastries and sweets.

The kiosk is open 8.30am – 2.30pm, Monday to Saturday, and closed Sunday and public holidays.

Vending machines dispense drinks and snacks across the hospital campus.

Entertainment

A bedside radio service is available in most wards. Most wards also have television monitors above each bed. The television service is available on a daily or weekly rental basis. This service is run by an external company and is not managed by us. Hire can be arranged through the Hospital Television Rentals representative who visits the wards regularly during the day.

Telephones

Bedside telephones are available so patients can receive incoming telephone calls at no cost. The telephone service is provided by an external company and is not managed by us. If you would like to use the telephone for outgoing calls, you will need to purchase a pre-paid patient phone card from the Hospital Television Rentals representative who visits the wards daily. You can also use your credit card to put credit on the phone using the handpiece.

Public phones at Fremantle Hospital

There are public telephones in the B Block admissions area as well as in wards B7, B8, W4.2 and W4.
