Red Green Day – improving the patient experience
Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospitals Group is committed to providing the right care at the right time for every patient.
The Red Green Day initiative is a visual management system that assists our staff to minimise wasted time in a patient’s hospital journey.
A Red day is when a patient’s journey is delayed because they do not receive the value-adding care they need, such as specialist consultations, diagnostic tests or planned treatments.
A Green day is when a patient receives that value-adding care, such as timely clinician review or diagnostics being undertaken within 24 hours of request, and progress on their journey.
We aim to make every day a 'green' day for every patient.
Seeing more patients, more quickly, is a great outcome for the patients in our care and those waiting to access our care.
