Ophthalmology
The Ophthalmology Service at Fremantle Hospital provides a consultation and surgical service for adult patients with most eye conditions in the South Metropolitan Health Service catchment area.
Our goal is to provide a high quality, patient-centred ophthalmic service with timely assessment and management of eye conditions in partnership with community health professionals.
Daily general and sub-specialty clinics include:
- corneal
- injection clinic
- neuro-ophthalmology
- oculoplastic
- ocular motility
- optometrist
- orthoptist
- retinal
- uveitis.
How to access our service
If you have an eye problem, please see your General Practitioner (GP) or an optometrist first for review. If necessary they will then refer you to our service.
If you have an emergency involving your eye, please go to your nearest Emergency Department for assessment.
